Exploring Molecular Shapes Lab 1.) the question we were answering was "How does the number of things around a central atom affect the shape of a molecule?" 2.) we ran simulations on an IPad so that we could predict the shape of a molecule based on the number of atoms and lone electron pairs 3.) Claim: the more things added to a molecule will cause the angles to become smaller evidence: single, double, and triple bonds all have the same effect on the bond shape Justification: the impact of the bonding pair on the shape of the molecule is the same. not matter if it's a single, double or a triple bond.
Reactivity and periodicity explore lab 1.) Our guiding question was: is reactivity a periodic property? we were trying to observe how each element would react differently when exposed the same thing. 2.) I helped with the beakers, getting the elements, and graphing the data. each on of my group members had different thing's to do so we could try the experiment in a more fluid manner 3.) Our claim was reactivity is a periodic property, our evidence when we observed the metals was that sodium moved and bounced around the tube and dissolved in the DI water and made a fuzzing sound, magnesium floated to the top and the metal turned pink the strip had bubbles, potassium there was a flame it sparked loud and smoke came out of the beamer, copper had no reaction, calcium it fizzed producing a spiral like bubble and it was hot to the touch
Exploring Atomic Structure and electromagnetic radiation lab 1.) our guiding question was "What are the identities of the unknown coalition's? 2.)  I took the results of the lab and put them in a graph I did it this way to track the color of each metal ion and so I could be able to determine which metal ion was an unknown substance 3.) our claim was barium, lithium, and calcium. our evidence was when we put it over the flame it produced the same color of light that the other same metal ions emitted.
Exploring isotopic and abundance lab 1.) The question me and my group were trying to answer was how much atomic mass was in beanium 2.) All i did was observe and record the data and find out the atomic average and mass for each bean and this was to differentiate and determine how we find the abundance 3.) Our claim was that the atomic mass for beaniu m was 0.43, we made a chart to justify our evidence and our reasoning was the average mass of beans and percentage were needed to get the beans mass by itself because the beans are not the same
Exploring changes in matter blog 1)What question were you trying to answer and Why? - The guiding question for our lab was which changes are examples of physical and chemical changes? My team and I were trying to determine out of the 5 examples we were given to experiment on we had to figure which was an example of a physical or chemical change. 2) what did you do during your investigation and why did you conduct your investigation in this way? - I helped set up the Bunsen burner and was in charge of recording the data from each experiment we performed on while two of my lab mates got the materials ready and did the other examples. We did it thus way so we could get done faster and be more efficient. 3) what is your claim, evidence, and reasoning? - are claim was examples of chemical changes are heating copper wire, mixing sodium hydroxide and copper 2 nitrate, and hydrochloric acid with sodium bicarbonate. The evidence for the chemical change was because it produced something

A) what question were you trying to answer and Why? - The question my group and i were trying to answer was the accuracy and precision of the amount of mass in each of the 4 bags. Basically the question was asking if we got we paid for and what me and group came up with was no, we got more than what we paid for because their was a 1.09 gran difference between each of the 4 bags and we concluded that are data was inaccurate and not precise. B) what did you do during the investigation and why did you conduct your investigation in this way? - what i did was measure the mass of the unopened bags weight and graph it. The reason we did this was measure each bags weight when the bag was unopened and empty and i assumed that each bag would weigh the same considering they were all empty and their weights were not the same. C) what is your claim, evidence, and reasoning? -our claim was: "No, we got more than what we paid for , even though the bags were inaccurate and not precise ther
